Hello to my Good fellas, Peace to my troublemakers and What’s Up to my Hustlers,,
Let’s be real—discipline isn’t always easy. Most days, it feels like a tug-of-war between who we are and who we’re becoming. But that’s the beautiful thing about it. Discipline reminds us that we’re still in pursuit—that we haven’t given up on the person we know we’re called to be.
I’ve fallen off track more times than I can count. There were seasons I promised myself I’d do better: wake up earlier, pray longer, work harder, rest deeper—but somehow life’s distractions crept in. And when that happens, it’s easy to feel defeated, like we’ve lost ground. But hear me on this—you are never starting from zero. Every attempt, every stumble, every restart—it all counts.
There’s something sacred in simply showing up for yourself again. Discipline isn’t about being perfect. It’s about choosing to get back in the game, even when your mind tells you to sit it out. It’s about remembering your “why”—your purpose, your calling, your dreams—and honoring them with your actions.
For the everyday person, for all of us trying to juggle life’s demands, discipline is the thread that ties it all together. It’s the decision to do the hard things today so we can become who we’re meant to be tomorrow.
If you’re reading this, let me encourage you: the process you’re in is producing something in you that comfort never could. Keep showing up. Keep pressing forward. Small steps make a big difference over time.
Bible Verse for Today:
“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training… Therefore, I do not run like someone running aimlessly.”
—1 Corinthians 9:24-26 (NIV)
You’re not running aimlessly. Every act of discipline—every choice to keep going—is shaping you. And one day, you’ll look back and see how far you’ve come.
Let’s keep pressing toward the mark. There’s beauty in this pursuit.
With strength and hope,
The Get Them Home Family
