There are battles happening every day that we cannot see. What It Means to Stand in the Gap
Ezekiel 22:30 says, “I looked for someone… who would stand before me in the gap.”
Standing in the gap means choosing to pray for someone who may not be able—or willing—to pray for themselves.
It means:
- Covering someone in prayer when they are overwhelmed
- Interceding when they are spiritually unaware
- Asking God to move in situations you don’t fully understand
It is a position of responsibility—and compassion.
We Wrestle Not Against Flesh and Blood
One of the most important truths to remember is this:
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood…” — Ephesians 6:12
People are not the real enemy.
