Surrendering his gift wasn’t instantaneous. “God blessed us with the talents we have, but ultimately, you have to open your heart to Him and let Him use you,” he explains.

Society constantly pressures us to conform, but Soul Speaker emphasizes daily surrender. “We have to keep our eyes on God and die to our flesh daily—surrendering our desires and wants for His.”

His hope is that his testimony resonates with young people caught between culture and Christ. “I hope they realize that following Christ is better than following the world, and that they can be better than me once they understand God is the head of everything.”

Encouragement for Fellow Artists

For those hesitant to use their gifts for God out of fear of losing acceptance or popularity, Soul Speaker offers this advice: “Whoever or whatever you are afraid of losing will accept you if it’s all love and they respect your decision.”

He recalls a defining moment when God confirmed his path: “After Passion Camp, I went through a lot that week, and it was impossible to really make music. But I knew I was making the devil mad, so I kept going until I finally created ‘Forever 21.’”

Balancing Creativity with Accountability

Soul Speaker acknowledges the ongoing journey of aligning creativity with scripture. “I’m trying to balance my testimony with God’s Word. I’m not fully biblical like Lecrae and his team, but I still rap my testimony in a way that glorifies Him.”

His anchor scripture for this season is Romans 12:21: “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
