Still Worthy of Restoration: When You Feel Like You’ve Fallen Too Far

Key Scripture:

“For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing.”

— Romans 7:19

The Silent Battle Many Don’t Talk About

There’s a struggle many people carry in silence.

It’s not always visible.

It doesn’t always look like brokenness from the outside.

Sometimes it looks like strength… survival… even success.

But internally, it sounds like this:

• “Why do I keep ending up here?”

• “I know better, so why am I still doing this?”

• “Maybe I’m just not worthy of anything better.”

At Get Them Home, we encounter this reality every day.

Not just in the lives of those we serve—but in our own journeys too.

Because the truth is:

Falling short is part of the human experience. But believing you’re disqualified because of it? That’s the real danger.

Paul’s Honesty: Struggle Doesn’t Cancel Calling

In Romans 7, Paul openly admits something many of us are afraid to say out loud:

“I do not do the good I want… but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing.”

This wasn’t written by someone lost.

This was written by a man chosen, called, and used by God.

Let that sink in.

Paul struggled.

Paul wrestled.

Paul fell short.

And yet… Paul was still used.

This changes everything.

Because it reminds us that:

• Struggle does not mean you are weak in faith

• Falling short does not mean you’ve lost your purpose

• Your current condition does not cancel God’s calling on your life

The Reality of Survival Mode

Many people aren’t stuck because they don’t want better.

They’re stuck because they’ve been surviving.

Survival mode will have you:

• making decisions out of fear instead of faith

• choosing what’s familiar instead of what’s healthy

• returning to cycles that feel safe, even if they’re harmful

At Get Them Home, we understand that some behaviors aren’t rooted in rebellion.

They’re rooted in unhealed wounds, instability, and lack of support.

When you’ve been in environments where:

• stability was never consistent

• provision was uncertain

• love was conditional

You learn to adapt in ways that don’t always align with who you’re called to be.

But here’s the truth:

God does not shame survival—He invites transformation.

The Lie of Disqualification

One of the biggest lies people believe is:

“Because I messed up again, I must not be worthy.”

But worthiness was never based on your perfection.

If that were the case, none of us would qualify.

God’s promises are not rooted in your ability to get everything right—

they are rooted in His faithfulness to complete what He started in you.

You are not:

• too far gone

• too broken

• too inconsistent

You are still:

• chosen

• seen

• redeemable

Restoration Is a Process, Not a Moment

We often want instant change.

Instant healing.

Instant stability.

Instant transformation.

But real restoration doesn’t happen overnight.

It happens in layers:

• one decision at a time

• one step at a time

• one surrendered moment at a time

Some days will feel like progress.

Other days may feel like setbacks.

But both are part of the process.

Because even in the struggle—

God is still working.

Why Community Matters More Than You Think

Healing was never meant to happen in isolation.

When people try to rebuild alone, they often fall back into cycles—not because they’re weak, but because they lack support.

This is why Get Them Home exists.

We believe:

• People need safe environments to rebuild

• People need resources to stabilize

• People need community to remind them who they are

Because sometimes, when you can’t see your own worth,

someone else needs to reflect it back to you.

You’re Not Starting Over—You’re Starting Again

There’s a difference.

Starting over feels like failure.

Starting again is rooted in hope.

You are not back at square one.

You are moving forward with:

• more awareness

• more wisdom

• more understanding

Every lesson you’ve learned—even through your mistakes—

is preparing you for the life you’re building.

Be Part of Someone’s Restoration Story

At Get Them Home, we are committed to helping individuals rebuild their lives—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

But we can’t do it alone.

If this message resonates with you, here’s how you can take action:

🤍 If you’re in need:

Don’t isolate yourself. Reach out. You deserve support, not shame.

🤍 If you’re in a place to give:

Your contribution can help provide:

• housing assistance

• essential resources

• community support programs

🤍 If you’ve been restored:

Share your story. Someone else needs to know that restoration is possible.

You may have fallen short.

You may still be figuring things out.

You may feel like you’ve taken more steps back than forward.

But hear this clearly:

God has not changed His mind about you.

Your story is not over.

Your purpose is still intact.

And your restoration is still possible.

Because at the end of the day, everybody deserves a place to start again. 🤍
